Hidden in my heart !

… hidden in my heart!

I’m a migratory bird,

Born to be free,

The sky is my home,

Not just any old tree.

Beautiful and attractive,

Intelligent and talkative,

I soar, I swoop,

I sing, I whoop!

I do things with passion,

With a touch of style,

I also sit still,

But only once in a while,

I watch a blind world,

Enamored by fashion,

My heart often bursts,

With total compassion …

That’s when I stop,

Often betray my vows,

Forget my destiny,

Focus on the nows,

Even I get attracted,

By the smiles and bows …

So …

I’m a migratory bird,

Divided in two,

My spirit is free,

My heart is just true,

I yearn for the skies,

So open, so blue,

But I’ve made a promise,

To do whatever I do,

So I’m here to marry

The old and the new,

And forge a new creed,

For the whole world to view …

But …

I’m a migratory bird,

Sworn to be free,

I’ll fly away someday,

On the wings of glory!

Hello world!

Hello World !!

This is my first attempt at properly blogging – as opposed to writing and group emailing 🙂

As of now I intend to publish a few of my poems … those who know me express immense surprise that I write poetry and that too childlike rhyming stuff …. But then those who know me really well are not surprised 🙂

Here is an example written for a good friend 🙂

Warm and friendly!

Why do some people become suddenly so dear

The emotion is real but the reasons not clear

Just like on the horizon a new star may appear

A friends kinship might draw a sudden sweet tear …

It doesn’t matter if the reason is obscure

When our hearts are true the emotions are pure

Yes smiles and tears intermingle for sure

But the test of truth is that the joy’ll endure!

When two souls connect the hearts do smile

Especially when there’s honesty and never a thought vile

As each friend adds value each in their own style

The kinship warms our life for mile upon eternal mile!
